The Expanse – Season 5

WHY

What a pleasure to be back with our favourite crew again in this new season of The Expanse. Even though this time they will only be together very rarely, each will have their share of adventures and challenges all over the galaxy. Without wishing to spoil you, let’s just say that the solar system is on the brink of war following the attack of Marcos Inaros (Keon Alexander) on Earth and Mars by sending devastating asteroids. As usual in this series, nothing will be black or white and we really enjoy discovering the motivations of each character even when they are on the side of the “bad guys”. One of the major changes in this season is the absence of Joe Miller (Thomas Jane) who we miss a bit but, don’t worry, he is still present but this time behind the camera as he is directing the 3rd episode of this season. Get your spacesuit ready for your share of epic space sequences and political intrigue!

WHAT

Season five of the series picks up as multitudes of humans leave the solar system in search of new homes and vast fortunes on the earth-like worlds beyond the alien Ring, and a heavy price for centuries of exploitation of the Belt finally comes due and a reckoning is at hand. For the crew of the Rocinante and the leaders of the Inner Planets and the Belt, the past and present converge, bringing forth personal challenges that have wide-reaching repercussions throughout the Solar System. Amos (Wes Chatham) returns to Earth to confront his past and the legacy of the life he fought to leave behind. Naomi (Dominique Tipper) reaches out to her estranged son in a desperate bid to save him from his father’s toxic influence. Bobbie (Frankie Adams) and Alex (Cas Anvar) confront the collapse of Mars as they chase a shadowy cabal with ties to terrorists and criminals. Holden (Steven Strait) wrestles with the consequences of his own past with the Protomolecule, the aliens who built it, and the mystery of what killed them. Drummer (Cara Gee), with a new crew, fights to escape who and what she used to be. And Avasarala (Shohreh Aghdashloo), refusing to be relegated to the sidelines, fights to prevent a terrorist attack unrivaled in history.

The Mandalorian – Season 2 – The Rescue

WHY

Here we are already at the end of season 2 of The Mandalorian. And to get Baby Yoda back, Mando is going to bring a great team with Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and of course Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison)! It will take a strong team to attack an Imperial cruiser. This will be an opportunity to learn more about Mandalore and the importance of the dark saber which will lead us to an excellent fight between Mando and Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito). We will finally discover the dark troopers in full action and their formidable power. The fans will be thrilled with again a perfect fan service like this death star talk but especially with the arrival of a Jedi. This sequence is perfectly epic and rich in emotion when the Jedi reveals his identity! Get ready for an astonishing ending! Don’t miss the post-generic sequence with a huge announcement!

WHAT

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
