For this weekend, the long expectations will be fulfilled with the new excellent film by David Fincher (Mank) and the return of a famous bounty hunter to a galaxy far away (The Mandalorian)!

Mank
WHY
Director David Fincher takes us back to 1930s Hollywood with his new film, Mank, written by his father Jack Fincher (almost 30 years ago!). To pay tribute to this period, David Fincher filmed it in a beautiful black and white and the immersion will also be enhanced by the sound and the multiple marks on the frame. This story into the golden age of American cinema offers us to follow the writing process of Citizen Kane with its screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz played by an excellent Gary Oldman. On this aspect, the whole casting is really great especially Lily Collins, Amanda Seyfried and Charles Dance. It’s a pure pleasure to discover the Hollywood backstage of this period with a huge number of references and also showing us the harsh reality in the studios without forgetting the power of the image in times of elections. The “fake news” does not date back to the 2000s as a fascinating sequence will show us. Jack Fincher’s writing is really perfect with a total mastery of the rhythm and especially the dialogues which are really dynamic and interesting! Each character has the time to be ideally developed. The filmmaking perfectly sublimates the story by offering magnificent framing and lighting. Full of striking sequences, the movie is never bore and we can clearly state that David Fincher signs with Mank, one of his best films!

The Mandalorian – Season 2 – The Tragedy
WHY
This new episode of The Mandalorian is directed by Robert Rodriguez who enters the Star Wars universe for the first time and he will be rather generous in terms of action and revelations! The action first of all with some serious fights with the Empire and the first appearance of the Dark Troopers. Concerning the revelations, it’s going to be huge with the arrival of a bounty hunter very well known by Star Wars fans, the famous Boba Fett! And it’s a real pleasure to see him in action against the stormtroopers! A lot of things will happen in this episode (with a title like that you can expect it) that I will let you discover. Just know that Baby Yoda is going to use the Force to catch something other than food!
WHAT
The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
