Cobra Kai – Season 3

WHY

What a great way to start the year 2021 with this new season of Cobra Kai! And it starts rather strong with the consequences of the final of the previous season. This will really impact several characters and especially Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) that we discover in a lamentable state, a bit like he was at the beginning of the series. Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) is also affected and he has another important challenge to overcome. Our sensei duo is really the great force of this series! It is always a great pleasure to follow their rivalry and their different confrontations. Johnny will also have many memorable sequences such as his arrival in a church or when he learns how to use a computer and especially Facebook! Let’s not forget the bad guy, John Kreese (Martin Kove), who is going to rise in his role as a bad guy and he will have an interesting past that will tease interesting things for Season 4. The fan service will run at full speed with Daniel’s return to Okinawa and the meeting with many characters from the films. Get ready for some tears! Johnny will also have a very moving reunion. Finally, let’s talk about the fights that are less present at the beginning of the season but that will lead to a great and violent finale especially the long continuous shot with the children. So be sure to watch this new excellent season!

WHAT

Cobra Kai takes place 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, where a now successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of Mr. Miyagi, and must face his previous adversary, down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), who seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

WHY

If you like mysteries and investigations, Equinox is for you! This Danish series invites us to follow a radio host who is going to search for her sister who disappeared 21 years ago. It’s a strange phone call from a listener that will set the whole thing off! As his investigation evolve, we discover that our heroine is much more complex than it seems, especially through her many visions. The series will constantly take us over several periods of time to show us several points of view on the case, the passage between these two eras will be largely thanks to very interesting and elegant transitions. Note that the cinematography is really beautiful, especially during the visions! These flashback sequences really serve to unfold the story and bring you to an intense finale full of revelations!
