Loki

WHY

What a pleasure to see Tom Hiddleston again in the role of Loki for this new Marvel Studios series! We really feel the pleasure that the actor had to play again his beloved character, and the series adds another interesting character with Mobius played by the excellent Owen Wilson. That marks the actor’s first appearance in the MCU! The first scenes between these two are absolutely delightful as well as their other scenes together. The chemistry of this unlikely duo works wonderfully! Starting directly from Avengers: Endgame, Loki then takes us into the incredibly bureaucratic world of the TVA. It almost feels like Terry Gilliam’s Brazil. Loki’s confrontations with this administrative hell are joyfully, putting to shame the arrogance and smugness of our favorite villain. Some of the sequences are truly touching and we learn more about Loki’s motivations and ambitions. But don’t worry, he’s not going to change and he’s going to have a lot of tricks up his sleeve for his new partner and his strike team. The premise of this new Marvel series is really exciting and we can’t wait to see the next episodes! Don’t miss this great entertainment!

WHAT

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.

Lupin – Part 2

WHY

This second part of the French Netflix series, Lupin, picks up where we left off earlier this year. Assane Diop (Omar Sy) tries to find his kidnapped son! This episode goes on a high pace and plays with our emotions! This second part uses the same narrative structure as the first one with its many flashbacks about the youth of Assane Diop and his friends. Far from slowing down the rhythm, these sequences are really interesting and give depth to the characters. Assane Diop’s goal is always to get revenge on Hubert Pellegrini (Hervé Pierre) who had framed his father and he will deploy many stratagems and tricks to achieve this. The struggle will be terrible between the two men, each one responding to the traps and attempts of the other. Assane will delight us by using again many tricks and costumes. The series will show in power on the end of this second part to finish in apotheosis in a last exciting stratagem to follow! Even if Lupin is not perfect, it still delivers a very good entertainment and offers, for the lovers of Paris, a very nice trip in the city and some of its emblematic locations like the Pont Neuf or the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont!

WHAT

This isn’t a game anymore. Assane’s quest for revenge against Hubert Pelligrini has torn his family to pieces. With his back to the wall, he now has to think of a new plan, even if it means putting himself in danger.
