Willow
WHY
After a very long wait, we can finally discover the continuation of the adventures of Willow Ufgood! It has been a long way with a change of director during the production. This series which follows the cult movie of 1988 is managed by Jonathan Kasdan, the son of the legendary writer and producer Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark). And it’s a real pleasure to see Warwick Davis and some other members of the original cast again, even if we regret that one of the most beloved character couldn’t return for obvious health reasons. The new cast is rather interesting even if it takes a while to get interested in it. Because at the beginning, some characters have really little charisma and are even quite annoying. The setting up of the plot is rather slow but becomes later on rather nice to follow especially after the arrival of Willow. It’s a real pleasure to come back in this universe imagined by George Lucas and to rediscover some emblematic locations! The series will have its share of surprise, action and of course magic! We only regret the will of the creators to put contemporary humor and especially songs too modern which made us leave the spirit of the story! But for the adventure lovers and surely for a younger audience, it is really worth following this quest!
